Subject:                                         9-29-26 THOUGHTS

 

We entertain some important ideas: dying and living, old and new, joined and bound, serving and bearing fruit, flesh and Spirit!  Our "serving in newness of the Spirit"  is powerfully important.  We move from law to grace in Jesus.  

Rom 7:4-6    Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.  5  For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were aroused by the Law, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death.  6  But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

Our Prayer:
Father God, help us in all these things we are reading.  May we truly be joined to Christ and bear fruit for You, O God.  May the newness of Your Spirit bring an eagerness for an abounding serving life. We rejoice that You are our God and that we are Your children in Christ Jesus.  Thank You for living hope.   In our Savior's name,   Amen.
